[KCDXC] Dayton Hotel 2011

KCDXC Members,
    The Crowne Plaza has changed their method of reserving rooms for the Hamvention. They are no longer allowing any group to make reservations ahead of the open public date of July 2. 

I have spoken with several people at the hotel and it seems they are still uncertain on the rates as they will be going up some because of renovations over the next few months. They are accepting reservations now for individuals at the "regular" room rate, not at the discounted Hamvention rate. So, you rich guys can go ahead and call in your dates if you like. 

 Therefore, I need to know how many club members are CERTAIN they want a room at the Crowne Plaza for 2011. 

Again it will be for 3 nights, beginning on Thursday night and checking out Sunday morning(May 19-May 22).  

K0VBU, N0RB and AB0X are already on the list. Please email right away if you want a reservation. 


These requests for reservations are being made on the hope that Crowne Plaza will allow us to have a guarantee other the suite. It may be that each of us will have to call in on July 2 for a room on our own.


I have put in many hours  emailing and making phone calls on the situation. Sorry, it is not like the past! It is beyond my control. I will keep you informed.
