A lot of people have been asking me to post some photos of my mobile setup.
I just finished updating my website and now have current photographs of the
new mobile setup.   

 

Rig: Yaesu FT-857D (installed remotely)

Amp: Ameritron AL500M (trunk mounted, easily 500+ watts, keep it throttled
at 400 watts most of the time)

Dual Battery Install (trunk mounted marine battery)

Ant: Tarheel Model HP-200A (6M thru 80M) modified with Hustler MO 2 foot
extension

 

Mostly operate CW, very rarely will you catch me on fone unless I'm asked to
run a county for county hunters.

 

I still have some TLC stuff to do, but its all fully operational and I use
it every day.  When warmer weather gets here, things will be tidy'd

Up a bit.

 

XYL (Julie) and I will be heading to Los Angeles, CA during the middle of
March (12-20th) and hope to work some of you from the mobile along the way.
