[KCDXC] Reverse Beacon Network

Mike,

I have a 10 band skimmer array running covering 160-6m and feeding the LAN here. If there is interest to members of the club, I can open this up to those who may want to access this feed. I would just need to get a telnet server setup as the current configuration allows only local access.

The feed can drive whatever spot program you use and it can provide you an idea of what bands are open locally - and give you a feel of what the action on each band looks like. It's also a great tool for WAS chasing - as I don't filter for DX only as most of the feeds have.

If you or others are interested, please contact me.

I think someone mentioned this at last night's meeting. Interesting concept
using Skimmers to provide feedback on where your signal is heard.
