[KCDXC] KCDXC Meeting 8/31/09

N0AG called the meeting to order and opened discussion of the election of officers for 2010.
He announced all nominations would end at the close of the meeting. 

A motion was made and seconded that the present Election Committee members be retained for service on the upcoming election. A unanimous vote of approval followed and motion carried.

The Election Committee announced that the electronic election would run approximately two weeks in the first part of Sept. and the results would be announced at the Sept. meeting.

There were numerous nominations and several people declined to run . The final ballot will be released  later as several members nominated were not at the meeting and confirmation of their desire to run for office must be received before placing them on the ballot.

Watch for the final ballot in the next few days from the Election Committee. 


Next, K0LW gave an interesting powerpoint presentation of his visit to N0NI's Contest QTH in Iowa with K4SV.

The meeting adjourned at 8:15 and was followed up by a lengthy discussion of roofing filters, logging programs and RTTY DX at Perkins. Several members added to their front end overload problem with pie, ice cream and coffee. Numerous members commented on what a pleasant and enjoyable experience they had at the KCDXC Meeting!
