Duncan,
I cannot help you with the tubes. But I might be some help with coax as maybe some other club members and/or Jayhawk alums will. Maybe we can get several people to throw in a few dollars and get enough that way. How much coax do you need??? What is preference of coax type?? You apparently need runs from rig to antennas. About all I have at home is short stuff for jumpers in the shack right now.
Let me know lengths when you can.

No trees were knowingly harmed in any way during the production and transmission of this message. A rather large number of electrons were somewhat inconvenienced however.

Hey gang, the KU Amateur Radio Club K0KU needs help!
Myself, Brian KC0BS, and Reid Crowe N0RC (president) have been overhauling
the station in Lawrence and restoring it to it's former glory. We've cleaned
up the shack quite a bit and done a lot of antenna work, however have hit a
bump in the road.
We are in need of coax cable, RG8, LMR-400, or other 50 ohm low loss cable.
Looking for stuff that we can put up and not worry about.
The amplifier is also in bit of a sorry shape (soft tubes), and we are
looking for a matching pair (2) of 3-500Z tubes.
If you can help us, or have any leads on people who might donate what we are
looking for, email me at:
ku0dm.ks at gmail.com
OR
kcshorty at gmail.com (Brian)
Thanks, 73!
