[KCDXC] Club Meeting

I believe we need to have a meeting on June 29 (Our regular scheduled meeting nite) to discuss the 2010 W0DXCC convention and the sundry proposals associated with it.           The time constraints concerning this possibility make a decision (whether the club will be involved in this or not) necessary as soon as possible      Whether you wish to meet at the normal place and time (JO CO library - 06:30) or if you wish to preside over a "special meeting" to discuss this one issue only, is up to you.However, in all fairness to the 10-15 members who are interested in this subject I think it needs to be brought to the table for discussion.  I dare say if you would want to propose a special meeting to do that, we could most probably combine the meeting and our usual "Perkins pie & coffee" in a more informal atmosphere.  (It would seem Lee-KØLW has also had this thought).       As you mentioned in a previous e-mail; you personally would like to
 see the convention held in KC because it would enhance the reputation of the local/Mid-west DXing and contesting community.  I am sure your reticence in relation to this event is partly because of a concern that some may see your enthusiastic support as somehow advocating your own contesting activities.  I believe those concerns are unfounded.
Anyway, that's my two-cents.  Let's have the meeting and talk it over.73,Tom...N0AG
