Delay of a potential Kansas City W0DXCC until 2011 was strongly suggested by
the group due to leadership issues at this time.

 

The present economy was also brought up as  a potential negative even next
summer.

 

The committee feels that KCDXC should be the host and we should look for
sponsor clubs to participate monetarily and physically. 

 

Ron, K4SX, joined our club and has officially joined in the desire to help
bring this convention to Kansas City. Ron also, generously, committed to a
$1,000.00 donation to the club as "seed" money to help get the process
going. He also brings two clubs, the Missouri DX/Contest Club and the
Lebanon Amateur Radio to the sponsorship group.

 

In addition Rob, K0RU, has committed to a $1,000.00 donation as additional
"seed" money to help get the ball rolling. Rob did add a caveat, but we feel
that by 2011 it will be easily met. 

 

Since the next meeting is pivotal in the future of our club, we will defer
voting on any issues regarding the W0DXCC until after the presidential "Vote
of Confidence" has been resolved.

 

The committee does want to move forward on W0DXCC.
