[KCDXC] KCDXC Club meeting April 27_Constitution_Dayton_Pileup

  KCDXC members,
 First let me congratulate all of you with adoption of the new KCDXC constitution and bylaws.
 Also, congratulations to the newly elected officers-Tom (Vice President), Judy (Secretary) and Jeff(treasurer).
 Thanks to Mike and Sm0ke for the all service they did trough the years to KCDXC. Mike will continue to serve as newsletter editor-please help him out with materials for the letter. Hope you all enjoy it.

 Special thanks to Bill for all work done with our new KCDXC WEB site!!!


 Here is a short summary of about 7-8 month accomplishments:
-we adapted first KCDXC constitution and by-laws
-club has insurance to cover major club activities
-club has completely new website
-we have at least two new youth members in the club!!! ...and actively  looking for more. I specially proud of this. I will fix radio donated by Rob from my own funds to give it to Boy Scouts (Duncan)
-improved accounting and funds on the account.
-newsletter going electronic distro only
-WEB voting
-every meeting well planned with announced agenda and everyone are asked to participate. (Next meeting is Dayton stories/pictures and emergency operations) (Tuesday May 26 at Carmack (big) room)

I think we are mowing in a right direction. Let me know what can be done better.

 Dayton business:

 Dayton is coming-we will need as many volunteers as we can get for the Saturday KCDXC Hospitality suite and pileup activities. So far I have heard from: Bill, K0VBU, Rob K0RU, Mike AB0X and Rick K0RB. 
 Remember-"IT IS NOT HOW MUCH KCDXC CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT HOW MUCH YOU CAN DO FOR THE KCDXC". Let me know if anyone will be able to contribute few hours on Saturday afternoon and evening and how and when you will be traveling to Dayton. 

 As far as KCDXC pileup discussion yesterday-Dayton committee was created a while ago and looked into all activities and sponsorship. I was working on logging program and participants survey for almost a year! Tool works very nice and offers a lot of improvements. Also don't forget about ARRL request to promote TECHNOLOGY. KCDXC is ARRL affiliated club.
 Initial proposal I have made was 4 PC's and 2 papers. It was proposed to use 6 PC's by other very experienced committee member and I gladly accept it, since I know all issues with judging in great detail. Committee will look at it again to find a good solution.
 Please bring pictures and stories from Dayton and everyone-DO PARTICIPATE, don't just sit back and criticize.
