Yesterday meeting was good. I don't remember seeing 25+ people at KCDXC meeting ever. Presentation was good. Thanks Rob.
After meeting Perkins was good as well.
On August meeting I will do short (15min) LOTW introduction, but it's pretty well explained at http://www.arrl.org/lotw/
Rob will follow up with antenna modeling SW (1HR)
Will use other 20-30 minutes just for chat and socializing.
September I was thinking about joint contest presentation (K0OU, K0VBU and KU1CW)since October and November has two biggest contest events of the year, but I will be out Sept 30 and would like to do it on Sept 22/23 or whatever we vote on the day.
October may be good for low band DX and contest talk before season starts-N0TT, AB0X? Looks like low HF will be good for another year or two.
November -digital modes RTTY, PSK ideas exchange.
I would love to discuss tower installation (self supporting, guided, masts etc. (Lee and Bert, N0AG?). A lot of important stuff there. Actually next meeting sounds better then November...
One important thing:
I was thinking about this few times (especially after contest) but would like to see what you guys think.
All of the main contest (CQ magazine): WW SSB, CW, WW160, WW RTTY are end of the month and KCDXC meeting following that makes it too much. Monday may be too much fun after any weekend, not only contest. Will first Wednesday/Thursday or even last Wednesday/Thursday work better? Mid week seems to be have less events.
Please let me know or just reply to reflector.
What else? Let me know what talents we have and what topics are interesting.
