Tonight at the W0DXCC & Contest Central Banquet they had several awards
presented. Once of which was 2008 W0 Contester of the Year.  In recognition
of his contesting efforts and involvement in the contesting community the
2008 W0 Contester of the Year is:

K0AD, Al Dewey

The selection committee had such a strong list of nominees awarded a second
individual with the 2008 Contesting Special Award. This award went to N0KE,
Phil in Colorado.

A selection committee consisted of 2 MWA members, 2 GMCC members and 2 KCDX
members.  The committee consisted of K0TO, AC0W, K0UK, W0ETT, K0LW, K0CA.
Nominations were received from the amateur community until July 7.

Nominees include:
K0AD
K0RC
K0SR
K0OU
KU1CW
N0KE
W0BH

Congratulations to Al and Phil for earning these awards.
