HI folks I hope I have all your e-mail address okay.

It is an age ago now since the KCDX Club looked after Kirsti and myself on
the way to Dayton. It was the year I became a CQ Hall of Fame member but it
was also the year that you as a group made me an Honarary member - don't
deny it - I have my plaque on the shack wall ever since those days.

I have written a book called The Old Timer - 60 years in the hobby of
Amateur Radio and it is 600 pages long. I have not really advertised it yet.
A few DXers have a copy and hopefully I will have a couple of reviews soon -
eg Bernie, W3UR is doing one etc. His first comments were WOW!!!

I have initially concentrated in our HIDXA Life Members as without HIDXA a
great deal would never have happened.

I will offer The Old Timer in book form (once I get some advertising in
place) at US $40.00 plus stateside post and packing for US $5.00.

To you all as a special group I offer the book with a 10% discount plus the
usual postage.

I offer KCDX members the book for $36.00 plus that $5.00 postage.

I can process any orders Immediately and literally by return e-mail have
confirmation of the order. I inform the purchaser.

Ex the USA they take say 4 or 5 days to process the order - and I get
immediate confirmation that the order is is the US mail. I infirm the
purchaser.

It seems that in 3 or 4 days the book arrives at the customers door.

Gwen VK3DYL got her book delivered by what is regarded the usual method in
her area - the book package thrown over the garden fence to land on her back
doorstep. Reminded me of those old black and white movies of the 40s and
50s - it was a common scene of newspaper delivery!!!.

We are both okay and we have kept up with our DXCC No 1 status. We still
only need North Korea on CW and we would be VERY HAPPY!!! Mind you to be
honest we do have our Romeo QSL cards to fall back on of course!!!

Warm Regards from us both to you all.

Jim, VK9NS
