Tnx Mike. I've never seen any Loudenboomer RF gear, but at KSU / W0QQQ, we
did have a Loudenboomer rotator with the coax feedthru, and locking rocker
switch for direction control. Once in CQWW, about 1973, I noticed a
surprisingly steady half minute QSB on almost all signals. Didn't take TOO
long to finally figure out the yagi was happily spinning away on the roof of
Seaton Hall.......
We also all met Lee W0AR in the process of taking away gear and tower from
an SK estate that had been donated to the KSUARC. I recall being awestruck
with my first sighting of (the old original, fat) RG-213 feedline coming out
of his amps. Seems like they were single band homebrew amps? Also QSLs and
other stuff from the YN - Corn Island DXpedition was neat to see.
Fun memories. 73 Bruce K0BJ
