I need help with some tower work this Saturday. I need to lower the
tower, remove the antennas and rotor from the top section, and move them
to a Hazer, then raise the tower again. I will not be immediately
re-installing the tri-bander, just the 2/440 vertical and 6 meter beam
so the job will be simplified.
I'd like to start about 8:00 AM, to beat the heat. If all goes well,
the entire job will not take more than two hours.
I've had one reply so far, I need at least 3 total (4, including myself)
to do the job, including one to climb the tower to tie on the rope. Two
to guide the tower down, one with an HT to communicate to the car and
maneuver the tri-bander near the ground, and one to drive a car/truck to
do the really heavy lifting.
If you have a trailer-hitch on your bumper, you will be especially
welcome.

* If anyone has a really long length of rope (at least 200') that can be
* * used for raising/lowering the tower over the house, please reply,
even *
* if you cannot make it.
