How many of the stations that you called got mad because you weren't
the kind of propagation they wanted?
I used to get chewed out by these rocket scientists in New Mexico or
somewhere who were looking for F1 propagation when I was (apparently)
sporadic E... Reminded me of that 7-lander who gets on 20 meters
every evening, "checking propagation to africa only please..." - call
him sometime and see what happens.
6m is fun if you live in the country. Pisses the neighbors off in
town though. I built a 4-element long-boom yagi one time that worked
incredibly well. I could listen to baby monitors and cordless phones
from all over Lee's Summit.
