Finally, after a lot of tiresome negotiations with the Egyptian authorities we succeeded to reach a compromise for SU8IOTA to go on the air. We had to change our place of work from the troublesome Nelson island to the Matruh region islands (Hashafat El Qutt - Ishaila - Konfis). Most probably we are going to activate Hashafat El Qutt island as it is the nearest of them to the shore. We received our license on a very short notice only yesterday, and the operation duration starts from tomorrow July 31st to the 9th of August. We updated in a  hurry our information on http://www.qrz.com/su8iota as we are going to head to Matruh early morning tomorrow. We are going to count on your kind help to announce the event. Hope to talk to you on the air very soon..
