Here follows the sad message from Mac's widow of Mac's passing.  He was
a
wonderful person and a terrific ham.

As soon as the obituary is inthe KC Star, I will send it to you, Kathy.

I am so sad to tell you that Mac passed away at 1:30 this morning. Even
though he has been so sick it was a shock to us. The Doctor visited him
last evening and said his lungs sounded better and he would order an
x-ray
for Tuesday. But in spite of his fight, his heart just gave out. As you
all
know he was feeling pretty miserable and had no chance for real quality
of
life so feel that God has done him a favor in taking him. He really was
ready to go be with his daughter. We will have a Memorial Service for
him
but don't know at this time exactly when that will be. Thank you all for
being good friends to him. You know his "ham" buddies were really
special
