Not sure if it was tornado related, but I saw an obit in yesterday's KC Star
for Paul Geiger, WA0BUR, of Kansas City, KS., who passed away Sunday at the
age of 81.

Guys,
I just find out that one of the HAM's was hit pretty
bad by the tornado. Fred Gerken, KC5RT from Liberty.
He works with me at the PCS LAB.
The 1/3 of the roof is gone, TA33 and vertical are
gone and backyard looks like a big pile of various
stuff... He runs 3KW generator right know and seems to
be OK. I have seen pictures of the tornado he took a
few minutes before it hit-that was a big son of the
...
Fred is not a KCDXC member but he is the only local
ham I know of who suffered from this events.
Should we come up with any plan for him? He said that
was a 3-rd time he has lost his antennas and he had
enoughf of it, but anyways...
Let me know what you think.
Thanks. Alex KU1CW
