Tom es All:
Looking forward to another all out assault on the HF bands for WPX this
weekend.
My contribution to the station will be an IC-775DSP and an Alpha 374(if you
have 220 V service for each station). I will also have all jumpers (from rig
to amp and to Pwr/SWR meter). Will bring a Drake W-4 wattmeter (or an MFJ
tuner if needed), and the Heil BM-10 headset for the Icom..
I have the cable to go from computer serial port to the Icom for radio
control, but do not have the cable and interface for audio from the sound
card to radio. Hope that is what you have - would be nice.
I will be looking for some warm bodies to spend some quality time in the
chair for 20 M, since it should be open for around 20 hous per day. Any time
you are available - we will get you some chair time. Especially Saturday
night and Sunday. This will be a great station to operate.
I will not be able to make it out on Thursday evening, as I have other
things going that evening. If we cannot make the connection to get the gear
out there either Wednesday evening or before the contest Friday afternoon -
then maybe Dave (KG0US) or someone can pick it up early Thursday evening -
between 4:30 and 6:30 and deliver it..
OK- I'm starting to get psyched. I will try to contain myself this year, and
not scream so loud to QRM all the other stations :-) hehe - But am not
making any promises.
If I don't see you all sooner, will see you Friday evening.
