Probably why I heard him. St Joe is straight east of
me about 80 miles (past Effingham). I just have a
wire and 10w so he couldn't hear me through the
Californians he was working.
Royals almost blew it yesterday but came back with an
exciting win. ONLY 13,000 ATTENDED. Sad.
All 6 meter Single Op LP
QSOs: 46
Mult: 40
Total: 1,840
My QTH is in EM29 about 10 miles east of EM19 (I
guess, no one painted a line). Chris, KC0HOV who
lives on a farm near Whiting told me he had quite a 2
meter opening to California. That was a first for
him. I heard some California hams talking to each
other excited about working Kansas on 2 meters so I
guess it was a bit of a rare opening.
I have increased my DX totals from one on 6 meters
(U.S.) by working Canada and Mexico on 6 meters. That
might be it for a while.
My first attempt at a 6 meter contest. Had to work
one of the days so not a serious effort.
