A 4 HOUR Contest?????
Yep... the whole thing starts and is over in just 4 hours
SSB: 0000Z - 0400Z February 2, 2003 (Sunday of first full weekend in
February)
I think that's 6:00PM to 10PM or maybe 7 to 11 (daylight savings?)
Bands: 80, 40 and 20 meters only.
Exchange: To have a valid exchange, you must send all of the following
information:
the other station's call, your call, your serial number, your name and your
location (state, province or country).
You may send this information in any order. For example:
N6TR DE K7GM 154 RICK NC K
K7GM NR 122 TREE OR DE N6TR K
Other Unique Rule!!!
You must switch frequencies after completing a contact you solicitted.
Example:
"CQ contest this is AE9B"
Reply "W0ZAP"
"W0ZAP this is AE9B 001 TOM MO"
"AE9B this is W0ZAP 001 Rick KS" (it now becomes W0ZAP's Frequency!)
Now AE9B must leave this frequency!
AE9B (or anyone else) can't sit on one frequency and call CQ all day (owning
the frequency).
Neat little contest for everyone (equalizes big gun vs S&P guys somewhat)
Team competition is limited to a maximum of 10 operators as a single entry
unit.
Groups having more than ten team members may submit more than one team
entry.
To qualify as a team entry, the team registration form on the NCJ web site
must be completed before the contest starts.
I will be busy (XYL birthday party) but will try to get on if timing works
out.
Who else will be participating.. I must sign up the team prior to contest.
