Yes, Home Depot does that often without any sale
notice.  Just whatever they are getting rid of they
mark down.  I bought speaker wire at the Home Depot in
Topeka real cheap and then split the cables to double
the length.  I used it to make my 160 meter
wire/lighting attractor.

I also found a good source for hard to find batteries
is Batteries Plus.  They had batteries that matched my
Brass Racer key as well as an old video camera I have.
