In about 12 hours we'll start the CQ/RJ WPX RTTY contest.
The last 48 hours have been filled with planning and work.
After putting up the 20M beam , rotator and control cable with the help of
W0ZAP.. I have found the rotator to not be functioning correctly and upon
reading the manual on line have decided we'll turn the big boy by rope. I
hate to do it that way but it is not my rotator and I don't care to try to
rewire it with the cold temps and wind at 60 feet. NW0L came by last night
and got all of the computers and rigs situated. We'll actually have 4 radios
ready and operable for those who want to help out but are a little shy of
for those times when things get really slow we can use extra ears/eyes for
finding multipliers.

I'm looking forward to seeing some regulars and some new faces out at the
house. Let me, once again, invite all of the KCDXC members to come visit
(even if you're not interested in operating). I would love to meet some of
those I haven't yet, and see some of those who I know enjoy the commraderie
even though you may not like contesting..

We'll be operating at 14617 S. Bynum Rd. in Lone Jack, MO
>From KS take 435 to the South East
to 470 East to Lee's Summit
to 50 Hwy East (towards Warrensburg)
to Lone Jack Exit
Turn Right or South travel 1.2 miles and look to your right.
The place with the antennas in the air will be the place you want to visit.
The front door will be open just come in and come downstairs.
Be reasonable with your parking (remember someone might need to get out).
The ground is hard. You can probably park on th grass (without getting
stuck) if the driveway is full.
Come by and cheer on your teammmates.
If you operate and make one QSO.. you'll be on the team submitted (unless we
decide to send it in as a checklog).

If you think you might be coming out (no commitment necessary) please let me
know.
Operators who have committed so far include:
NW0L, W0ZAP, AE9B, K0LW, KI7WO, NOTT, K0VBU (I thought I remember Jerry NX0I
saying he might be interested, let me know Jerry, KG0US sound like he has
other plans)
Also good luck to Bill AK0A Single OP Kansas and Alex KU1CW Single OP
Missouri
I'm sure we'll see you on the bands
