The 1st Annual W�DXCC Convention was held in Omaha last Saturday and it was
very successful! The notable speakers were Wayne Mills N7NG, Glenn Johnson
W�GJ, and Cliff Ahrens K�CA of DX Advisory Committee Chairman, among others.
Very informative presentations and infomation. The organizers did a  very
nice job and they probably learn a few things also. I highy recommend going
next year and MHDXA will be hosting the hospitality suite. No date has been
set for next year but it will probably be in the early fall. MHDXA were
represented by myself, Barry N�KV and Ross N�ZA. N�KV and N�ZA helped in the
DXCC card checking. N7NG was hand delivering applications to the league
Monday. 21 "sets" of cards were checked.

Meeting Highlights and notes:

N7NG had the most DXCC countries of the group 364. (MHDXA member)

N3SL (former MHDXA member) had most band countries @2400+!!

Glenn Johnson W�GJ won the Zero land amateur of the year award.

KC DX Club that operates the incoming Zero QSL bureau is looking for help,
and MHDXA is taking a letter, probably "K" and N�ZA is taking the letter
"Z".

When the logbook of the world gets rolling in the next few months, there
probably will NOT be a Sept. 30 2003 deadline on the DXCC submissions.

Burghardt Amateur Center did a Radio Shootout with all the new and older HF
rigs, all at once.

Tennadyne Corp. had a antenna presentation

A52A and TI9M DXpeditions presentations

65 people attended the convention from all Zero states but North Dakota.

Plenty of food and plenty of DXers and stories!
