Hi Bill,

I re-downloaded the 5.1 update, brought up Acrobat separately, went to
EDIT, then selected PREFERENCES.  Selected OPTIONS and then unchecked
FAST WEB VIEW.  

This may be where the problem comes in.  Went to click on the "OK button"
to open the newsletter, but there was no "OK" button on the screen

Yes, I did reboot after downloading the upgrade?  Got the same error
message.

May perhaps be that technology has surpassed my equipments abilities.  I
had a terrible time networking my Timex Sinclair with my Commodore 128
system.  After getting all the hardware bugs worked out, I got a doctored
version of PC-DOS 3.1 to run then they come up with this new fangled
things called Windows.  Hard to fit that on a 30 Meg hard drive even with
the "Double Stack" compression program.

Guess I will remain one of the "stone age" operators running my
Pre-Cabrillo logging program.  I wonder if they still take paper logs. 
Got a good long carriage daisy wheel printer around here somewhere.  Will
have to check & see if Radio Shack still carries ribbons for it.
