Alex and KCDXC,
The club gave small plaques for the 6 major DX contests: CQ SSB & Phone,
ARRL DX CW & Phone, WPX CW & Phone.

These were the choices because the club was DX oriented and leadership felt
this was where most members would participate.

We gave awards for S OP, All band, Multi-Op. If enough interest was
generated additional awards were given for all Band low power, Multi-multi
etc., following the general format of each contest. But if no entries then
contest chairman didn't spend any money .

For other contests, awards were not generally given out unless an
outstanding effort(score) was made by a member.

The club also had a large trophy for single op all band that traveled each
year for the 4 big ones CQWW(cw & SSB) and ARRL DX(cw & ssb). They were
nice and everybody wanted to win it. Don't know what happened to the
original trophies. (Heard KB0U traded them to a liquor store in Dayton for
several cases of beer??)

K0VBU and KB0u can provide additional data.

Is there anybody still active in the KCDXC, besides me, that attended the
reformation meeting of the club in that bank basement back in 1975??? W0YR
and W0AR organized it. Anyone else out there who attended this first
meeting???
AB0X
