Hi guys,
I must agree, last night's meeting was a FANTASTIC meeting. It was a real
pleasure to see W0AR rcvd his CQ DX Hall of Fame award. And a real pleasure
seeing so many people there. One thing we must remember, who ever is sitting
next to Johnny, nudge him occasionally to keep him wide awake....hihi. Now
for the fun part...

I have to agree with Alan, as there is such a wealth of knowledge within the
club, that we could spend a lifetime learning for the "experienced". I know
that since I have been in the club since the early 90's, I have seen some
amazing things in the dxing and contesting arenas. Watching Rick, KB0U or
Steve K0OU run on cw or ssb is a joy to watch. And to hear some of the
stories from the past is a real riot. Sometime one of you guys who were
present when it happened will have to tell the story about K0RWL's cat and
the Alpha. Or the Honey Bee tuna tales (I THINK that was the name of it).
Some of the stories that I have heard numerous times still make me laugh and
smile.

A summer meeting sounds good (maybe an antenna party, hint hint), or a BBQ
or something. Carla (KC0DAC my XYL brags about my burgers on the grill so
that's a possibility).

The club awards sounds VERY promising. I think the competition will be
tough. But I must say that we would need 2 classes, Working stiffs and radio
loungers....hihi...

And from the emails on the CQ contest reflector, there might be some
interest in the cd's

Now as for my country totals. These are done with 100w, and most of the
upper bands were using a KT34XA at 60 ft. All the 80 meter ones were off a
G5RV at 45 ft and 100w until just past 100 countries.

Mixed totals (Yes, I know I need to get some cards out....printed 75 last
nite after the meeting to mail tomorrow)
Phone: 316/202
CW: 312/172
RTTY: 80/32
Mixed 327/245

Mixed individual band totals
10: 270/115
15: 282/141
20: 315/196
40: 198/82
80: 112/37

and 160 Mtrs 28/16 BUT this includes 6W, and Z2 out of Africa.

As for the Writelog stuff, if needed, we could move the meeting for ONE
month to the BPU Human Resources Building were they have a video projector
which we could hook a laptop or tower to and it shows it on a 12'x12'
screen. Also, I may suggest maybe also a DXBase demo, I know ALOT of us use
that program as a general logging program.

Anyway good to see all of you (Yes,even you too Tom). And make a
note.....next meeting MORE DONUTS!!!
