[KCDXC] Just a heads up!

Just a heads up! Dan from Associated called me the other day and wondered if
there would be any interest to have another ICOM demo day. I think Icom is
interested in demoing their equipment and may be ready to demo their (new in
the US) still not FCC approved IC 703 which is a scaled down IC 706 I
believe (if it's approved by then). Otherwise, they would like a chance to
talk to people about their products (particularly their top of the line
stuff)and show all the features to folks like the KCXDC who actually use
them. Unlike last time, I believe they're talking about doing the demo with
a antenna hooked up this time (although not much of one as those of us who
worked the contest at Associated know). Anyway, they'll provide food and the
opportunity to ask questions and get answers. I told Dan if they were going
to provide free food, they would certainly have hams show up. Any thoughts..
questions, comments..  I believe they were talking about having it on
January 14th which is a Tuesday.
