You noticed that too?  Pretty bad since virtually
everyone was using extra class calls.  Somewhat
expected during a contest but this was exceptionally
bad.  I even went up to 1.880ish for a while because
of it.  Eventually I started playing with my DSP
(which I hate) and figured out the folks that were
QRMing were actually just a fraction off my frequency
and they must have been using DSP and not hearing me. 
(when I turned on my DSP they disappeared).

It was nice to hear all the signals though.  Tried to
get WAS in a weekend; got all but failed to get Nevada
and Alaska.  Did ANYONE work a Nevada station?  (I was
using 100 watts.)  I also never heard VE4, VE5, or
VE6.
