I've been using my little VX5R to talk to Joe in Texas, Pieter in Georgia,
and Mike in Minnesota, all through a little repeater in the sky (UO-14)!
Yes, Ham Radio IS amazing!

Hi All,

I talked with Eric in Barcelona, Spain, and I talked to Tom located in 
a Light-House on the Oregon coast.  I used my ICOM-706 (100W) into AH-4 
long-wire antenna tuner.  The wire (14-AGW w/insulation) was literally 
tossed over the trees in my back-yard.  Ham Radio is still amazing!
