[Kantronics] KPC-9612 Firmware...

I have the 8.2 for the K+ and yes I can burn it. It's a 27C1001 Eprom.

Price would depend on what you already have, if your Kam has a UV erasable
firmware Eprom then its not that big of a deal, just ship the Kam to me and
I can just pull the current Eprom, erase, reprogram, test, and its ready to
go back. It's a lot easier to fix any problems here than send you a chip
and find out you have a corrupt burn or something like that. If yours has
the OTP, one time programmable Eprom without a window on the top then I
would have to order a replacement. Mouser carries them for about $5 and
then another $9 or so for shipping, I could get you an exact price quote if
it turns out you have an OTP in there now.

At the most, minus the Eprom if needed, $20 to cover the cost of shipping it
back and a little money for my time and the beer fund.

73,

Scott

are you able to burn the latest firmware for the KAM+? I have one and
Kantronics no longer sells the chips. what would you charge, or do you
know of someone that I could buy the firmware from ?

Thanks,
