[Kantronics] KAM, 98 and 3+ Questions

Thanks for the comments all-
I guess the problem I need to resolve before choosing HF radios for my
agencies EOC is the old problem of when operating SSB with the TNC
still connected- Often, the station on the other end hears the
distorted SSB audio and comments "Try removing your TNC"
I need volunteer-proof radios that can have their TNCs left
connected, that will allow voice operation without having to
disconnect or having to add "science projects"
I've heard from a few MARS members the IC-706 MK2G is OK
in this regard- no having to remove the TNC when using voice-
Tnx-

If it is an ICOM, the RF comes in the AUX port!!! I know from experience
and had it out with ICOM on the problem. They choose to ignore the
problem!!! No more ICOM's for me!!
