Have any of you heard of Kantronics' Talon? I got this info on another

But it looks like we can't use it for Ham APRS (at the moment anyway).

The Talon is our latest product for commercial markets. It uses a different
type of modulation than any other TNC, and can not communicate with them.
It is a four-level type modulation, for higher baud rates in narrower
channel spacing. It can be programmed for frequencies in the land-mobile
licensed bands.

The radio module use inside the TALON is capable of operation in the bands
specified, but can not currently be programmed for frequencies in amateur
bands.

Beacon of GPS data and APRS digipeater functions in the TALON, are similar
to those functions in our other TNC products. The GPS data is transmitted
in binary data form, which allows for very short position report packets
(200 ms or less).
