[Kantronics] KPC-4 memory?

Does it have a Dallas Semiconductor IC in it, such as a memory chip? 
Such ICs have a builtin lithium battery to retain the memory during
power down conditions.  They last about 5-10 yrs normally and the whole
chip has to be replaced when the battery runs down.   (Unless someone
has a patch to add an external battery)
