[K6NCG] K6NCG / Treasure Island Alumni Radio Assn mailing list

[rrcarman at centurytel.net]

Thanks for the e-mail, Scott; sorry to hear about Mike, W6RW (formerly WB6FCE).
I would like to see the list continued, provided there is someone young enough to
take charge. I'm 84 years old (a ham since 1955) and I imagine lots of others are
also approaching octogenarian age or at least septuagenarians. Hopefully someone
can take over this task, since so many have become Silent Keys - I'm one of the
lucky ones still around and determined to delay my own funeral as long as possible - ha!
Thanks for doing this and good luck - hope someone will respond.

Hi all! This is Scott KA9FOX from QSL.net<http://QSL.net> / QTH.net<http://QTH.net>. You are a member of
the K6NCG / Treasure Island Alumni Radio Assn mailing list. The current
list administrator is Mike W6RW. Mike became a silent key last summer, so
the list now has no list administrator. I also noticed that the K6NCG
profile on QRZ is currently managed by W6RW, so it is also now without an
admin.

For the mailing list, we have a couple of options:

A) Someone (or a group of people) step up to take over the administration
duties of the list. This would require approving new members (after doing
some basic vetting to be sure the request is legitimate), and helping
current list subscribers with any questions or problems they have.

B) The list could be deleted. I see that it hasn't had any traffic since at
least 2023.

Let me know what you think.
