Yep, that's Bob in the headphones. We had an apartment in Ocean Beach for a
while when we got to FAAWTC. Then he got hitched up with a girl. I wound
up in another apartment right at the corner of Longbranch and Spray Street,
smack dab on the beach. Man, was that a party pad. We had girls staying
with us all the time just so that they could say that they stayed on the
beach. A bunch of us mustered out on Jan 31, 1972. I headed back to
Phoenix and was back to work at Motorola in 12 days.

TI was a one of the best times of all...and being in San Francisco in 1969,
I don't think I missed any concerts at Winterland or the Fillmore. I'll
also never forget Foghorn's Fish and Chips right at the entrance to Golden
Gate Park. But heck, here we were in the ham shack that had this million
dollar view of the Embarcadero and Golden Gate Bridge. I'll never lose that
image in my memory.

By the way, do any of you remember back at Christmas time when we strung a
bunch of "wheat bulbs" along the 80M dipole that light up when we
transmitted? I remember that you could see that from the Embarcadero across
the bay. Many more memories to recall...

Hi Rick,

Whoa! I was just about to reply and ask you to double check that photo
because your full name and old call sounded very familiar. Glad to hear from
you again after all this time!

So when you refer to Robert Cook being "that good looking guy with the great
hair", are you referring to the photo just above the one of you?
At the watch position wearing headphones? That name rings a bell too, but
just to make sure.

With a little luck we can get all the unknowns updated. I'll keep the site
updated quickly too.

Bob
