Hi, Mike - yes, you are the only name I remember. Thanks, because you are
one of the reasons I got my novice license. I got rid of my HF rig when we
moved to southern Arizona, but I have plans to pick up another - maybe a SDR
rig, since I'm a software guy. Maybe we'll have a sked at some point.
Ron, perhaps you are the Lt(jg) who gave me my novice test near mid-66. As
an SN, officers first names were all Mister<grin>.
Another anecdote: There was a TV in the shack lab. One night some guys were
watching the tube when there was a bang and flash, so we secured the power
and went hunting with flashlights. Found an electrolytic capacitor with
cheese on one lead, tinfoil on the other, and an extremely dead mouse
nearby. Love those simple circuits.
