[K6NCG] More K6NCG stuff

Hey Ron,

I never knew that Gina Married the first time. She was a pleasant woman and I enjoyed being with her. We had no intimate relations, so it was just platonic but that makes it a good memory. I flew oil exploration in a DC-3 in1974, I operated some German Computers and Navigational equipment and the Magnetometer as well as a gravity meter. When the aircraft was scheduled to go to IRAN for 9 months, I listened to the wisdom of the pilot and co-pilot who said the contract was always underbid and it would likely be 27-36 months. My wife and Baby would have been alone, and I said no way. I quit and finally got on with Seismographic Services Corporation working in Mexico. 16-18 days each month in Neuva Leon and then home to San Antonio for the rest. Pay was poorly done but it was a job. I got 34 years, 2 months and 14 days with my wife until she died. So far I have not found a replacement. It sucks to be alone.

Dave

Hi, Glenn! I will look around for some more photos - I sent some prints to
someone several years ago to post and
never saw them again - either on the web site or anywhere else. I still have
the negatives from over 45 years ago and
will try to find them in my old boxes of stuff. My, how time flies when you're
having fun! I joined the aero club at NAS
Alameda and received my private pilot's license in 1966; Bill (K1NIT) got brave
and went up for a flight with me right
after I got my license. The San Francisco Bay area is not the best place to
learn to fly with all the fog & clouds.
Anyway, to David R. - the last time I saw Gina was in May 1966, about the
time I got my private license, but soon
after that my time was up and I couldn't wait to head back to Oklahoma! Never
heard from her again but she hadn't
remarried when I left TI at the end of May 1966. I now live in central Texas
with my wife of 43½ years; our two kids
live in the Houston area. After I worked for the feds all those years, I
couldn't talk our son out of going to work for
the federal governmentt as well and he works for U.S. Customs at Houston
Intercontinental Airport!
Good to see some activity on this site again; that old shack on TI quickly
became my Navy Home!
    Ron, K5CXH
