Hello Dave,

We had 3 CTM's in our class, they got involved with a Gay Doctor in San Francisco and were not going to their Crypto training when we left. They were on hold in the TI until the clearances were denied or approved.

Only time on Radio was as a DJ on KAHS Arcata California. My A school started in January 1960 and ended 27 or 28 weeks later.

I got a commercial 3 class Broadcast license with the endorsement. My wife wanted to get hers and so I helped her with it. I only studied the stuff on regulations and passed on the first try. My wife did also. I was on the air from midnight to 4am and she had 4-8am.

Dave while in Japan did you have a CTCM Stanek? His older daughter nearly became my wife.

I never could get my ears set for the code. My Dads youngest brother was a Radioman and later a mustang radio officer. After WW2 he reverted to RMC and got out to Fleet Reserves, called back for Korea he was promised his Officer status. Only a promise by the recruiter not in writing so after 2 years he was out again.

Dave

Dave,

I live near Winchester, KY. I was in ET'A' school from July, 1962 until
May, 1963. I was in the K6NCG shack. I spent my time as a CT M
brancher in Kamiseya, Japan.
Don't know if you are active on the bands or not. I'm on everything
from 160 through 10GHz. Maybe we can QSO.

Got to leave now to go play a gig. I've been lead trumpet for 20 years
now with the Young At Heart Big Band. I love it. I've been retired 20
years also. Caught a lucky break and retired at age 51.

Hope to see you on the air.

73,

Dave, K4TO
