Hello,

I have been looking for Gina since my wife died in 2005. I live in Northern Kentucky, moved here so my wife could be near family in 2004. I hate Kentucky but it worth the problems so my wife could die happy. We left the Concord and Walnut Creek area of the East Bay to come here. I retired in 2006, so my chance for traveling to the Bay Area are slimmer than the odds of winning the Lottery.

Tommy Warden was in ETA? School and he drove a souped up 1957 Chevy, it was full race with dual 4 barrels and he used to drag race with in Texas. I do not remember if he was from Houston or Dallas area. I went to the USNS Bowditch T-AGS-21 with Larry Murrish of my class. Also Ronald Tyson and Robert Barkhurst from the class in front of me. We all attended a week of indocternation at the Naval Hydrographic Department in Washington DC and then to 8 weeks of Special Technology at Dam Neck Virginia. Larry and I went with a 2nd Class ET to Bendix Computer training in Santa Monica California. Then we went to Brooklyn Army Depot for transfer to the Ship. We spent 2 weeks there and then bussed to McGuire AFB in NJ, to catch a flight to England where we were for about an added 2 weeks. Then they flew us on a C-47 to Bergen Norway to meet the ship. I finished ETA School in Late May and boarded the ship in November to spend Thanksgiving there.

Good to meet you. Do you know if Gina married while you were there?

Dave

Wow - talk about a blast from the past! I was a member of K6NCG from 1964
to 1966 and remember Gina - a good
looking young lady. She wasn't a ham but did hang around Building 318 which is
where I met her. I still have some old
photos taken back then. Anyway, I's unsure of what kind of reflector you are
talking about - a UHF antenna or what?
However, I now live in central Texas and it would be an awfully long drive for
me to come out there for Field Day!
