You may not know this, but I am a former director of the Treasure Island Museum Association.  Today I had a nice call with Anne Schnoebelen who is currently Vice President of the group.  She and I are very interested in putting together an exhibit on the history of K6NCG, your stories, and the unique experience of being a Ham in the Navy here.  There has been a desire to address the Treasure Island experience and how it relates to the evolution of technology.  I think that the stories of the 'shack are an excellent window into a first person perspective of what it meant to be part of this.

There is a special address set up for ideas and input:  history at treasureislandmuseum.org  If you are interested in contributing images, stories, or artifacts please feel free to make contact there.  She will likely collect all of those contributions and start mapping out a way to present an exhibit.  Perhaps the opening will include visits from most of you and a special event station to commemorate the event.

I'm also interested to hear the ideas that you have here as well.  I've really been enjoying hearing so much from all of you.
