Hi Dave, I hate flying post 9-11 because of the hassle factor as well.
We did a trip to Europe this summer and I was pleasantly surprised that it 
wasn't as bad as I had feared.  It wasn't a cake walk, but it was tolerable.
Any way, if you jump a jet in Lexington on Thursday, spend the weekend, and 
stay until the following Tuesday, you can get here for $300 or less on 
Continental, American or Delta. (Search KAYAK.com)
Sounds like a great excuse to get away for the weekend!
