Mr Mitchell,

This is Desmond, KC6VHG.  I'm one of the very few hams living on 
Treasure Island now (probably the only one operating).  I'm Vice 
Commodore of the T.I. Yacht Club (originally the Navy Sailing Club / 
MWR) and also involved with the Coast Guard Auxiliary in communications...

I've been a general class since 2003 and a tech since 1991.  For 
years I've been trying to arrange a Field Day station with the hopes 
of a K6NCG / TIARA reunion on some level.   This year FD falls on the 
same day as a big sailing event here and I'm getting interest in 
setting up the station. There will be a number of boaters around and 
a few parties so it's should be g pretty good time. Also interested 
are some of my shipmates in the local CG Auxiliary as well as the Yacht Club.

I'd like to see about getting permission to have this station be 
sanctioned by the K6NCG club and proudly bear the callsign 
somehow.  I haven't yet started researching the requirements to do 
this, whether the club trustee need be present or just a member, but 
the island is changing fast and I'd love to hear the call on the air 
while we still can.

Please let me know what you think and if this would be possible...
