[K6NCG] Field Day at Treasure Island

Hello to everyone from Treasure Island!

I wanted to pass on some info on things happening out here.  This 
Saturday, May 5th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM  the Treasure Island 
Museum Association will be hosted by the TI Yacht Club for an open 
house and "Island History Day".  Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Here's the biggie...

It's looking like there's going to be a field day station set up this 
year at Clipper Cove.  The date is 6/23 and 24.  We'll be based right 
outside the Yacht Club and it will be most likely run by myself with 
some members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.  Of course every K6NCG 
operator would enjoy celebrity status, especially if they bring the 
station callsign with them!

Any interest in this?  What would it take to be able to use the club 
call out here for this?  I'm not sure how many more times we'll be 
able to do this before the developer comes so if you can make this 
date at all, it should be a great time.  There's also a big sailing 
event called Summer Sailstice here that weekend and the whole mood 
will be pretty festive.  Meals will be available from the Yacht Club 
as well, so we'll be pretty well set up.

Let me know what you think.  I even think a field trip to the old 
tower would be possible.
