What the gas station was doing was selling you full service gasoline rather 
than self serve. That is typical of the price differential between full serve 
and self serve. I think the gas stations around here are gougers. I went 
somewhere last week and saw gas for $2.79. I said to myself I'll stop by on my way 
back.  A half hour later I came back and prices were $3.40 per gallon. Needless 
to say, I didnt buy gas there.
