Subject: [K6BW] General Class Study Sessions
This message is primarily for Amateur licensees who currently hold a
Technician license. The next license grade is General class. A General
class license adds the privilege of transmission on most frequencies in the
Amateur short wave bands. The examination consists of a multiple-choice
test of 50 questions. Knowledge of Morse Code is not required.
Our next VE Examination is May 11, 2013 which leaves about a month to
prepare for the General class license. Are you interested in a study
class? There is only time to present concepts and highlight some of the
subject items in the test, but if you are interested, we can hold review
meetings Tuesdays from 7:00-9:00PM at Trinity Congregational Church in San
Rafael. The subject of a cross-band repeater may be used to illustrate
radio principles.
Let me know , and if there is enough interest, an announcement will be made.
