Take a look the Aug 20, 2012 broadcast #125 of HomeTheatre Geeks at Twit TV.  Perhaps you are already familiar with Fourier Transforms and Holographic Technology, if so, you may find the "intuitive" presentation familiar, but if not, you may find it mind boggling.  It is well worth a look!
