[K6BW] Field Day 2011 at Hamilton

This year we are pleased to announce our participation in ARRL Field Day, held over the weekend of Saturday, June 25, and Sunday June 26.  HWA will participate in the field adjacent to Building 549 and we also have permission to use Building 549 for the event.  This year the Marin Medical Reserve Corps is partnering with us as part of an extended exercise to set up lights, tents, and offer support by way of food preparation, publicity and space for R&R.

We would really like to make this a great event!  While not large in the sense of a big operation, we would still like to have a good schedule of events and make a good showing (and have a lot of fun!).  

Some of the operations we are considering include attempting to contact the Space Station and receiving exercise messages from the ARRL.  A number of additional activities are listed in the Field Day rules which are posted on the ARRL website.  Do you have a favorite?
