Did you know that there is an experimental frequency band at 600 Meters (500
KHz)?
The frequency is 500 KHz (yes 1/2 Megahertz, just below of the AM Broadcast
Band) Additional Freq at 465 KHz.
The dipole is 'only' 997 feet long (slightly longer at 465 KHz). Very short
(45 feet) verticals are popular.
Operation is restricted to experimental Amateur stations, but yes, we have
obtained limited permission to transmit!
