Hello Hamilton Wireless Association,
I'm new to your email group. I just past the Tech test on Nov 15 and then the General test on the 21th. And I think I'll be ready in December to take the Extra test. I have a few radios around here. BASE - ICOM IC7000 HF,VHF,UHF, Yaesu FT-912r 23cm, and for HT's - Yaesu FT-6r 6,2m and 1.25,70cm , ICOM U-82 70cm, and 3 trunk type scanners and more stuff too. Nothing in my truck yet but I like the Yaesu FT8900 10,6,2m/70cm radio. And I always do a RF project at Burningman. fm stereo?!
I'm sorry couldn't make the antenna party and Bar-B-Que this last Saturday. But I only had a few hours heads up on it. But I would of like to been there. It sounded fun! Maybe next time.
My QTH is EL Sobrante (94803) Between Richmond, San Pablo and Pinole. About 300' elevation with a good line of sight to HWA's antenna... http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=37.971944,-122.299333&daddr=Richmond+Pkwy+to:38.055397,-122.519813&hl=en&geocode=%3BFYSPQwIdUyW1-A%3BFeWtRAId-36y-A&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=0&sz=16&via=1&sll=37.970066,-122.2965&sspn=0.011266,0.019312&ie=UTF8&ll=37.986151,-122.421684&spn=0.180215,0.30899&t=h&z=12
I'm looking for a club to join... HWA is 50+ mile round trip from my QTH, so right now can I just be a friend of the club? If I can't find a closer/FUN club to me then I'll become a member. Hope HWA understands...
Thanks
David Young
