Hi Joy,

Hope you can join us!

Hard to say what tools will be needed.

Projects:

Raise the 160 meter antenna. It needs ~200 feet of rope, which we don't
have, but we do have parachute cord which we can use as a temporary
measure until we can obtain the rope. It seems the only practical way
to purchase rope is through the Internet, where 1000' feet of 3/8
polyester or nylon (sun resistant) rope can be had for about $140. I
don't know of a local source.

Fix the 80 meter dipole. We have to take the antenna down to find out
what is wrong with it. Hopefully it is only a solder connection.

Prepare to mount a vertical on top of the water tower. We need to
string coax (we have heliax) between the shack and the tower. That
would include attaching connectors to the end of the coax. We have the
coax, and have tiewraps (can always use more). Am not sure what antenna
we will use, or what brackets, but have a lot of hardware at the
clubhouse. We have a ladder to reach the ladder section already mounted
on the tower.

Bar-B-Que. Jack is bringing charcoal and a salad. We'll need to visit
Costco to obtain hotdogs, hamburger, buns and chips. I haven't heard
much response from the invitation sent Wednesday, but who knows who will
show up.

Look forward to a fun day!
